  • Trusted Computer Repair Places
I'd disagree, with more modern laptops you can't libreboot them because the manufacturers make sure that computers nowadays are locked down propriety garbage, so I kinda got to stick with old thinkpads because I want to use libreboot. - Source: Reddit / 23 days ago
  • Its highly possible that the CIA has many influencers on their payroll, probably the most famous ones and probably a lot
That should be the least of your worries, considering you don't have to watch any influencers. What you should worry about is the device you're using now / which operating system. Yes it is the free bios which means free software. It comes with seabios in my case, but you can configure only with grub as well, more details here -> libreboot.orglibreboot.org. - Source: Reddit / 26 days ago
  • Libreboot 20221214 Released
    > Libreboot is a fork of Coreboot They've always called themselves a "Coreboot distro", not a fork. From the homepage: "In the same way that Debian is a GNU+Linux distribution, libreboot is a coreboot distribution."[0] That was a lot bigger deal when libreboot first started, because at the time Coreboot wasn't doing their own releases. > Libreboot … refuses to include things such as CPU microcode.... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 month ago

  • Installing dual boot
Otherwise, what you'll have to do is image a USB drive with a partition management software or distro (e.g. GParted Live), boot from it, and then resize your partition from there. This does carry more risk of data loss than the dual SSD method, but it's more universal (you haven't mentioned if this is a laptop with more than one removable storage option or not, for instance), and it's unlikely to cause any harm.... - Source: Reddit / 4 months ago
  • Can you install Chrome OS Flex as a Dual boot?
I have a suggestion, follow the previously advised installation process to install CrOS Flex on a separate drive, then reconnect and enable the Windows disk through the boot menu, once back there you can install a GRUB manager under Windows, like Grun2Win, it's easy to install and set up, once you are all done, the final result will be easier to switch from one OS to the next, instead of every time going through... - Source: Reddit / 7 months ago
  • It is better to use 2 Bootloaders when dual booting with windows 10
When using Opencore for booting Windows 10, causes many issues. Even it causes issues when you boot MacOS after restarting from Windows 10. So Fix is Simple Use Grub2win as main bootloader and boot Windows or Opencore ( Chainload opencore efi file) from there. I am available for your queries and help. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago

  • grub entry for windows.
On Windows, you might want to try Grub2Win to configure your grub. It should work fine unless you try it with arch distros, but since mint and mx are debian based, you should be fine. - Source: Reddit / almost 2 years ago
