Check out Krita[0]. It's what I used after leaving Windows - a little different, maybe 25% more complicated, but has everything you need. If you just want a MS Paint replacement, KolourPaint[1] is the way to go [0] https://krita.org/en/. - Source: Hacker News / 20 days ago

I’ve been using Krita for a year or so now. At first I found the UI very confusing, but after learning the top bar is just as important as the side bar it really works. YouTube videos of pros using it will blow your mind. It’s really powerful. https://krita.org/en/. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 months ago
Through the years I've learned how to use some Open Source design tools like Inkscape, GIMP and Krita. While I'm not an expert on this area, I've used these tools to create graphics for some of my personal projects, and recently the logo of Let's Talk! Open Source, that I created using Inkscape. - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
Looks like it'll work, mint is Ubuntu/Debian based and I know there are drawing pads out there that work well with Mint also. If you like drawing, I'd suggest checking out Krita. Source: 4 months ago
I'm curious, where is your PTS folder? If you put it in c:\program files or c:\program files (x86), it might cause problems. More info here: https://systemax.jp/en/sai/. Source: about 1 year ago
I would contact Systemax Software, the maker of SAI. Here's their website: https://systemax.jp/en/sai/. Source: almost 2 years ago
Where did you download it from? If you didn't get it from https://systemax.jp/en/sai/ then it could be sideloaded malware. Source: about 2 years ago

Adobe Photoshop - Adobe Photoshop is a webtop application for editing images and photos online.
Clip Studio Paint - The artist's software for drawing and painting.

Considering Krita is free there is a very high chance you'll get a ticket to use it even if you're working in a studio . Krita Lags a lot when you try to handle large files. Try painting in detail on canvas like 6x8 inches at 200/300 dpi on krita and then on PS.
SAI was created for manga like artworks and there isn't much brushes in it but i've seen people adding brushes in it. SAI is fast too like PS.
I've always used Paint Tool Sai for years and it worked perfectly with my XP-Pen Artist 12 Pro Display drawing tablet . The lines are beautiful and crisp with the pen and brush tools, while the blur and watercolor tools are to die for.
I recommend - PaintTool SAI.
