I have been using parrot sec for over three months now as my daily driver . It's stable and has all necessary tools for programming and security also has media files that support multimedia activity . For a security distro it's quite stable and it brings out both of the stable day to day driver and security pentesting quite well it's the best of both worlds though it can require some modifications in terms of anonsurf and repository updates but generally it's great and it's easy to use for beginners and those whore beginners in pentesting and programming .. but in gaming it's whack since it's made for use in specific mannner not gaming For more info If @m.i.t.h.a.m.o

I am studying in a very networking-restrictive(oppressive, if you will) college(where sites like twitch.tv, kali.org, blackarch.org, steam(basically anything related to entertainment), fandom wiki, and even chess.com is blocked). Outgoing ssh port 22 is blocked so I cannot ssh into any servers outside the university network. VPN is blocked but thankfully wireguard isn't so I can bypass it. - Source: Reddit / 22 days ago
Excuse me sir, while I'm here, Can I ask what/where to download VM. I tried downloading VMware from kali.org. The file type is ".part" and It cannot install on kali using dpkg -i, Insists that it must be .deb. Care to help? - Source: Reddit / about 2 months ago
I would recommend kali Nethunter. You can download it on kali.org. Im not using it myself but I heared only good things about it. - Source: Reddit / about 2 months ago
If you have trouble copying, try to boot from Kali Linux to run your data transfer. I get flack on Reddit when I recommend it in this situation because this isn't its intended use, but I've seen the copy operation in the OS ignore permissions and copy data that Windows for some reason couldn't or wouldn't. It's an OS geared toward penetration testing for network security folks and I think it just isn't too choosy... - Source: Reddit / 3 months ago
Sounds about right for apple lol. From kali.org: "IMPORTANT! Newer Mac hardware (e.g. T2/M1 chips) do not run Linux well, or at all. This is true for Linux in general, not just Kali Linux" vm seems to be the way to go for now:). - Source: Reddit / 4 months ago
For Linux, I generally don't use AV. Also recently I've been using Parrot Sec, Ubuntu, and Qubes. - Source: Reddit / 5 months ago
If you ask me I can tell ParrotOS - HOME Editition they have a set of defaults already for you without having to install these pentesting distros like Kali or ParrotOS - Security, because their main goal is not YOUR security. - Source: Reddit / 7 months ago
