Yep, you can create a filter in jq to do that. Alternatively, if you prefer Python syntax you could try jello, which works like jq but is really Python under the hood. (I am also the author of jello). Source: about 1 year ago

I guess it kinda depends on lots of things… I guess many people use Graylog, Splunk or similar web-based systems (which can be self-hosted if you like). Not sure if there are any readymade applications for using locally on your Mac. Maybe you can hack something together with jq + Bash + awk etc?
