  • What's the best combo of free/cheap WP tools/plugins for a new, very small site?
(there are other plugins for WebP, but this one is a bit cheap) Imagify - Online and CMS Image Compression Made Easy https://imagify.io/. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Advice on Site Speed Test Solutions
Tldr; upgrade your host (WPengine), compress your images (Imagify), minify and defer your scripts (Autoptimize or WP Rocket). Source: over 2 years ago
  • What do you use to optimize your images?
I use WP Rocket to help with site speed and they recommend Imagify. I've been trying it out on a client site for the past 2 months and it's gotten the job done without sacrificing too much quality. Source: about 3 years ago
  • Transferred media to new site but want to clean up smush generated files
Hi not much help on the transferring site but I personally export from LightRoom at 70% then use https://imagify.io/ to compress on the site and even my DSLR shots shrink rather nicely and still look great! Source: about 3 years ago

  • How to increase traffic organically
Improve your website speed and mobile responsiveness. Google loves websites that load fast. Make sure your pictures aren't heavy. Use apps like TinyJPG. Use the right amount of animation because too much of anything is bad. Source: 7 months ago
  • I'm applying for Golden Visa through gdrfad.gov.ae but the PDF documents should be maximum 100 kB!
Extract the scanned image and resize to make it a bit smaller, then compress the images on tinyjpg.com, merge them all into one pdf file using smallpdf, finally compress the pdf file again on the same website. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Improving image performance on the web.
I'd say that a proper OR recommended approach towards optimizing images for the web is to manually compress them with compression tools like TinyJPG or Squoosh before uploading them to your favorite image CDN. Why? you'd ask me. - Source: dev.to / about 1 year ago
  • Work in progress, my Pathfinder 2e homebrew world map. Feedback appreciated
Oh and for the file size: compressing is usually better than resizing. And your image is a PNG which is much bigger in size than a JPG and you barely notice the difference. You can use https://tinyjpg.com/ or any proper image editor for good compression or even in Wonderdraft, you can (for sharing on Reddit) better export it as a JPG and at 80% or so.
