If Mojang hasn't killed Minecraft yet, they're not going to be able to. Even a game like Hytale that looks incredibly promising, is being made by people with a well-known Minecraft server community, and has the backing of Riot (and thus big boy Tencent) isn't going to release and be the "Minecraft killer" we dream of. I downloaded the minecraft java edition game handler and modified the .js file to fit my game (minetest) before zipping it again and renaming the .zip file to .nc. Now when I want to extract the newly created handler to connect it to the game binary, it gets stuck at 100% extracting. Source: about 1 year ago
