  The method that seems to work most reliability with all devices and all ecosystems is a Zigbee2MQTT software hub running on a computer alongside Home Assistant. The Z2M project has a list of compatible USB dongles which are typically around $20-30 (The Sonoff being a good one) but you still need a server (i.e. a small computer like a thin client or raspberry pi) and install and configure the software, so this... If you find what you need then you're probably good to go ahead with it, though not all the plugins are completely reliable. Sometimes there's more than one for a given device though.
