HckrWeb is my heavily modified fork of HackerWeb[1] with data from hckr news[2]. I mashed together the simple, readable UI of HackerWeb with the chronological ordering from hckr news. I am getting to this post now because I only consume this website through https://hackernewsletter.com which allows me to feel up to date on things but also not have the constant need to open the site. Regarding HN in particular, I use https://hckrnews.com/ with "top 10" visible to reduce the amount of things I need to check. If that's too much, subscribe to https://hackernewsletter.com/ and don't consume content on the main HN website. I use https://hackernewsletter.com/ to keep up, F5 bot to know when I'm mentioned. Made my own chrome extension (I wont plug here, its in my post history) to ease front page refresh, article search and post submission. I've often wanted to follow specific individuals (aka be notified when they post) and I wonder if there's tooling for that.
