  • How many of you still learn how to handwrite? I stopped after 2,500 characters...
I've found the most success with learning words in some sort of flashcard format based on frequency lists (meaning learning the most frequently used words first), and then solidifying that learning by reading Chinese text in graded readers. For the flashcard format I use hackchinese.com , for the graded reading I use DuChinese app. Source: 10 months ago

Hey there, u/DotLanguages! We'd love to integrate with you. We couldn't find contact information on your web page. Please reach out to us at team (at) hackchinese.com. Hopefully talk soon! Source: about 1 year ago
  • Anki Decks/Youtube Channels/Other Resources for learning more every day vocabulary at a B1-B2 level? (related to locations and actions)
Hackchinese.com has lots of vocabulary lists, like "baking a cake" (14 words), "bicycles" (53 words), "bus" (29 words).... There is a free trial so you can see if you like it, but I don't remember how long it is. Source: about 2 years ago
  • What's your strategy for reading Chinese?
I was in the same place a few months ago. The thing that's helped me a lot is reading online, so that it's easy to look words up. I also use an SRS (hackchinese.com, but I know a lot of people use Pleco or anki) to keep track of any word that seems useful or interesting or common. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Selling my hackchinese.com account for cheaper
I want to sell what is remaining of my subscription on hackchinese.com for less than it costs since I am not using it anymore. The subscription ends in July 2022. Source: over 2 years ago
