Fair enough! I’d personally recommend Godot, because it’s FOSS, has a really nice way of doing things (in my opinion), and a language that’s similar enough to Go that when I was first learning Go I’d frequently use terms from GDScript! I believe most game developers would rather focus on making the game though, instead of figuring out how to make things work in React Native. In those cases, the best option is to just stick with game engines like Godot. Source: 4 months ago

On one hand, BlitzBasic and BlitzMax was a key moment for me, 15 years ago, of 'getting' programming - I clearly remember as a teenager when some basic concepts clicked together, and here I am many years later a full-time indie game developer.
