Geni VS Ancestry

I found other incomplete profiles on different genealogy sites which stated that his parents were Thomas Lyons from Lincolnshire and Ann Stodart (also listed as Anne Stoddard/Stoddart) from Durham, England. There are, however, no sources listed so I am not sure if this is factual. I have added their information to our geni.com family tree in the hopes that I can find matches, but no such luck. Now, I don't know what happened here, whether its a glitch or someone on geni.com made a mistake, broke a link or this is an actual inconsistency in the records, but both Sir Nicholas and Sir Richard have sons named Nicholas and Richard, both of their Nicholases die as children, and their Richards share the same webpage. TL;DR: While filling up my family tree on geni.com, I came across a user who claims to be a priest and has made over 15k entries, including updates to my ancestors' details. It's quite easy. You just have to download your DNA file from ancestry.com and then upload the zip file to MyTrueHeritage (after signing up of course). Then in 10 minutes your results are ready! Source: 4 months ago

Ill definitely keep that in mind I did do ancestry.com's test and was not exactly satisfied as it did not tell me what part of England or Ireland my family comes from as we are all very disconnected. Source: 4 months ago

My sister did do an ancestry.com DNA test, but it was super underwhelming since it was just 100% Japanese, with no regional breakdown. I think 23andMe does a better job and at least has Japanese regions, but unfortunately we went with the budget option. Source: 4 months ago

That being said, my mom is 100% Ashkenazi (according to ancestry.com genetic testing) and as a little kid I used to ask her if she was black because her skin is so brown (I wasn't asking in a pejorative way I was just genuinely curious) and it is weird to me that people think that just because our families immigrated from Poland/Russia, that means we are of Polish/Russian ancestry; our ancestors were ethnic...
