  • So my kid is a furry
But it's difficult to tell what your daughter means, and how serious she is about it. You can check out furcadia to try and get a better idea of the furry community. https://cms.furcadia.com/ though I'm not sure if it'll actually tell you much. It's just another online chatroom with an avatar, where people text based role play as half-animals, which often leads to sexual stuff. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Oldest active MMO, Tibia is adding sound to the game, 25 years after it's release in 1997
Yes, you read that right. It's a furry MMO from 1996 which is still active to this day. Source: over 1 year ago

I remember as a young boy playing a game called furcadia. It was one of the few browser based MMORPG at the time. I always thought it was a bit weird but as there wasn't many games like that around I continued to go back to it from time to time. It was only rather recently I discovered that the guy making it was an early furry and made it for other furries. Source: over 1 year ago

  • Not yet diagnosed. Lonely.
There are standalone headsets that are all in one. It’s technically a gaming system but I’ve used it to watch YouTube music videos in 3d and the VRChat looks cool! https://hello.vrchat.com/ not gonna a lie, everyone is asleep and I’m just up in pain and having flashbacks of my injury and the entire situation. The medical treatments don’t help I’m gonna get Rocket Raccoon tattooed I me cause I resonate with the... Source: 10 months ago
  • vr chat website not working?
I was going to check the website to see if any of my friends were online before I turned on my headset and what not but I got this error An error occurred during a connection to hello.vrchat.com. The OCSP response does not include a status for the certificate being verified. Source: 11 months ago

That being said, this subreddit is for the social game/framework, VRChat, not just general VR discussions. Can definitely understand the confusion though. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Mass Layoffs and Absentee Bosses Create a Morale Crisis at Meta
I do think generative AI has some really interesting possibilities for interactive media - but I don't see how it unlocks anything. It's clear there's a market for well-designed and compelling VR chat. VRChat[1] has a large community and had a very active developer community[2]. Facebook had no luck in attracting users in a proven market - there's no reason to believe their products would be more popular after... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
