Hey, yes, I also use Scrivener and have this issue with Lucida Grande—I have bold and underline, but no italics. Like /u/beckdawg19 said, you could use some other symbol to denote italics and then convert them later. I'm not sure what fonts you have available on your Mac, but Chalkboard or Chalkboard SE are probably the closest to Comic Sans. This is how I learnt. I just practiced on paper a lot, just doodling it. You can just use a Pencil or Ball point pen. You can print such words/fonts on a paper and trace it and repeat. You can download fonts from dafont.com . This word "wing" I just did multiple traces on the laptop with a touch pen. Please learn how to use design space to make your own designs. It is not that difficult with some practice. Paying for a designs when they are easy to recreate on your own will save some pennies.
