  — Never use a font that came with your computer (or one that looks like it does). fonts.google.com has tons of free good-looking fonts. fontsquirrel.com has good cheap and free fonts. tendollarfonts.com, as the name suggests, has cheap fonts. Don't just pick one at random. Look at other, professionally-designed books. Find a type treatment you like, think about what makes it work, try and do something similar. Source: 10 months ago

  The general rule of thumb for fonts is, never use the ones that came with your computer. fonts.google.com has a bunch of great ones for free. fontsquirrel.com and tendollarfonts.com both have good free and/or cheap ones. Source: 11 months ago

• Twitch's Alerts: CSS Issues

  I've got a problem with the new Twitch's Alerts feature. I can't modify the CSS code to add my own font. When I click to validate there's an error message. Yet, I use exactly the same code line with streamlabs.com as well as streamelements.com's alerts, I generated it thanks to fontsquirrel.com and it works very well. Source: 11 months ago

  I actually downloaded fonts to match the sentiment and getting the message across, I downloaded the font "Henny Penny" and "Horsemen" from dafont.com and it can also be found on fontmeme.com and I downloaded it. Once the font is installed I use them on the following meme generator https://imgflip.com/memegenerator but I always choose to use the original quality of the photo I use to type over it so I do not get it... • Recommendations for a good modern font for a personal logo

  I'm working on a personal portfolio website and need to come up with a logo for it. I'd like the logo to be my initials, SF or S, but struggling to find a font that has aesthetic S's and F's. I've included an image of a nice W logo, and I'm looking for a look that's something along those lines.   Sure, there's WhatFontIs, WhatTheFont, Font Squirrel's Matcherator, there are the forums on dafont, or there's identifont, but I think that one relies on descriptions to identify fonts rather than using an image. Source: 5 months ago

• Best 100% free/open source alternative to Marvin Visions?

  I like the retro style a lot. I've been looking at art deco fonts, but o far I've only found Ciudad Nueva Caps in dafont.com. I'm wondering if anyone knows of others with the same look. Source: 5 months ago
