You can try FL Studio for free, by downloading the trial from their website (https://image-line.com) I think its a forever trial, and you have access to all the stock plugins, its just restricted in various ways (you can't open saved projects, for instance) but if your just trying DAW's on for size, that won't matter. The pdf manual ( https://audiokitpro.com/manual-for-synth-one/ )for the iOS synth “Synth One” by AudioKit ( https://audiokitpro.com/synth/ )is basically the textbook for the synth & sound design classes taught at Austin Community College. It was written by their main synth guy, Francis Preve. Worth a download of the manual even if you’re not using the app, since it covers some decent ground. Source: about 1 year ago
If you have an iPhone I would also recommend installing https://audiokitpro.com/synth/ and reading this fantastic manual https://audiokitpro.com/manual-for-synth-one/ which teaches general snyth concepts. Source: over 1 year ago
