  I'm in no way a professional and just picked up woodworking as a hobby. I would like to build a monitor desk shelf similar to the popular grovemade monitor stand(https://grovemade.com/desk-shelf-system) Don't want to pay the price obviously and figured it would be fun. If I layer up the shelf itself to be 1 1/2" thick, would that be enough support for the grommet itself? Source: about 1 year ago
