Are you using windows or linux? If windows, I strongly recommend linux for plotting with mad max, so you can use the latest release rather than wait for stotiks to make a windows port. I also find linux CLI to be much easier to use than windows powershell, especially if you install zsh and ohmyzsh plugins. I only use 3 plugins: git, zsh-autosuggestions, and zsh-syntax-highlighting. I use zsh via oh-my-zsh . It's nowhere near as awesome as the GitHub readme makes it sound, but I found it pretty decent once I disabled some stupid default behaviours (nomatch globbing, autocd, and share_history for example). Issue: After installing ohmyzsh everything works great I get a notification to edit the autostart.config to have ohmy run on start. I accept. Kill the ssh connection and reconnect using the same user and now zsh still works but not ohmy. After investigation I found out that ohmy was installed in root/.oh-my-zsh instead of home/ and I don't understand how come using the same user through ssh it had root access... - Source: Reddit / 2 months ago
