I would start with adding a background image and better music. Neither is something you need to do yourself. There are some really cool public domain astronomy images from NASA you can use, and there is free-if-you-give-credit music on websites like filmmusic.io. Source: about 1 year ago

I have never used that website. But filmmusic.io, which seems to provide a similar service, has a warning for tracks that will trigger ContentID on YouTube. At least they had that the last time I used it. They recently redesigned it and now it looks completely different. Source: about 1 year ago

Ccmixter.org have a ton. Also soundcloud. Aside that the usual ways like Youtube.Also keep an eye for remix contests. Plenty of good vocals from a few well know projects/bands for free ,a chance to get featured and earn some $ or other prizes. Source: about 1 year ago
