Not a professional - What's the best way to organise photo/video captures of life in general?
I used NameExif https://us.digicamsoft.com/softnamexif.html first to rename all my files into created YYYY-MM-DD-HH-MM-SS-[event (optional)], then ran exifsort to move them all into YYYY-MM folders. Source: about 1 year ago
Is there a way to export photos from google photos to pc and keep the original date and time?
The Date Taken data should be preserved which is more important than the file date. You can sort your folders by Date Taken or what I do is use NameExif to rename my photos by date/time taken, which means they’ll always sort correctly and the info can never be accidentally lost.
