For TV, I use episodecalendar.com, been using it since 2013 I believe. It works pretty well in my experience. I do pay the 12EUR annually, for no limit on number of shows to follow (and to support). Plex already has justwatch.com integrated for search and for linking to services of your choice for anything you add to Watchlist. If they had a way to add titles to your media folders the way you can add them to the watch list, with the service links, that would solve the base issue.
