Same thing u/apastron_society has said works for Word, it is pretty simple. As for an excel spreadsheet I'm not sure I've come across anything like that, but I have used easybib.com throughout my college, until I found out about the Word feature. Maybe try bibcitation.com. I’ve been using it since junior year and it makes less mistakes than others (but still some) but it also makes it way easier than other tools to correct the errors. Source: 11 months ago
