  • Court denies googles requests, allowing rumble to subpoena algorithms designed to shunt traffic away from rumble
Transparency: Even if what Google is doing is above board, it'd be nice to have a certain level of transparency. Why are they burying Rumble? (they're a competitor, hate speech on the platform, etc..) Can we see a list of websites that get buried or prioritized? If you're going to start making moral judgments that have an effect on the business of others, you should have the courage to lay them out and defend... Source: over 1 year ago
  • Which iconic moment in time will you never get over?
It was 1997 and I was in fourth grade. Our teacher made us all go to the computer lab to look up stuff related to an assignment on a search engine, and I clearly remember the search engine was dogpile.com. Looking back, this wasn't at all necessary, our teachers were just trying to get us exposed to this new thing that would obviously one day be a huge part of our lives. The more I learned about the Internet, the... Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Why do Internet searches no longer work?
As an FYI, before DDG I used the search engine dogpile.com I just checked, the search engine is still up and it did not give me a lot of useless stuff when I searched for "soft soap with floating hearts" in quotes, of course. Source: about 2 years ago

Does this make sense? I feel like I'm awful at explaining things... Source: about 2 years ago

If you go to ecosia.org or qwant.com on any mobile browser (Safari, Chrome, etc.,.) and search for ghandi you also get no results. Its only when the search query ends in ghandi, for example "ghanid date of birth" returns results fine. Source: about 1 year ago

  • Have you all heard about duckduckgone? So who's the replacement
Added it using the extension? Well, there is a better way. First remove the extension. Second, in the search bar type https://qwant.com and go to the website. Now right click on the search bar and you will see an option to add Qwant to the list of search options. Just add it and you will not see any pop ups. Source: almost 2 years ago
