If it doing nothing and you don't mind running a node for free. Recommend to give it a try it teach you much about wat dogecoin/blockchain really is in the process . The fee estimation you're seeing on multidoge.org may be incorrect. I downloaded and opened the wallet myself and I'm actually getting a, "Warning: fee estimation is currently not possible" message. Note that the prices of network fees are universal and correlate with general network congestion/inputs.
