I had a problem with a half-removed anti-virus install and old 'protected' files I could not delete from the Mac's Bin. App Cleaner was the only application I could find (8th I tried) which properly removed the remnants of the AV application and allowed my Mac to boot without the long freezes which I suffered while booting. The protected files in the Bin it could not handle, but their support team offered a remote session to see what could be done. They connected and worked some magical commands via the terminal app and the files were deleted without issue. So all of my problems were solved. This was all done whilst I was still using the trial version of the application. So to conclude - a superb application, fantastic service which went way and beyond any expectations. They've gained a lifetime user. I wish more developers were this awesome.
This app deletes all leftovers of any apps. Simple and easy to use.
It helped me clean up about 20GB in a few minutes.

The reason I want this resource is simple: Apple will eventually discontinue Rosetta 2. It may be five years, but it will happen, and I'd rather not buy games now that will be unplayable in a few years. I know doesitarm.com exists, but it doesn't seem very well maintained or organised for the Gaming sector specifically. Source: over 1 year ago
Comprehensive data on which apps natively support Apple Silicon seems to be lacking. This source says 54% of 3205 apps they tested have native M1 support, which would mean about 1730 apps have it. Source: over 1 year ago

Try using a tool such as this to remove all the leftovers from the app and give the installation another crack. Source: 11 months ago
Thank you!! I was really hoping to avoid the hard way since I’m not techy and actually ended up using a free trial of the Nektony App Cleaner & Uninstaller (added link for others with this issue). Source: about 1 year ago
I suggest using an alternative complete app uninstall over the MacPaw monstrosity, which is notoriously harmful to system file integrity. I use Nektony App Cleaner & Uninstaller, which serves the sole purpose of complete uninstalls, unlike CleanMyMacX. Most importantly, highlight all files related to an app and then leave the removal action up to the user manually so that you can see exactly what will be removed,... Source: about 1 year ago
Nektony App Cleaner & Uninstaller is showing login items and leftover files, but I’m not sure the latter is very reliable. It often lists files from apps that are still installed too, so handle with care. Source: over 1 year ago
I use CMMX for the various tools it has and since it's included in Setapp, but for removing apps and cleaning up leftovers I tend to prefer https://nektony.com/mac-app-cleaner - they're another Mac app company based in Ukraine. Source: over 1 year ago
