7 Best Data Recovery Software for Windows
Recovery can be done by file system or file signature when the systems are damaged. NTFS utilities are included that enable you to work with files and directories while bypassing the NTFS driver. While DMDE may not be the easiest tool to use, in the hands of users with technical expertise it is a powerful data recovery solution.

Top 10 Free Paid Photo Recovery Softwares in 2022
Another tool not to be missed on our list is Recuva, a desktop application that has become one of the most popular tools in the field. It is free to download and use with limitations. To remove these restrictions, you need to purchase a license and activate the software. On the other hand, Recuva is useful and free photo recovery software.
Top 10 Best Data Recovery Software in 2021 (That Actually Worth Your Time!)
We like Recuva for its low cost, its clear interface, and its ease of use, but it only recovered two-thirds of the deleted files on my test drive, and that kind of performance may not be good enough in a crisis. Still, it can’t hurt to download the free version and give it a try. If it finds the files you’re looking for, it’s all you need. Otherwise, it’s time to turn to one...
7 Best Data Recovery Software for Windows
Other tools also have their good points. We can recommend Recuva as a tool offering unlimited free data recovery. Prosoft Data Rescue 5 provides extensive file format support and Stellar Recovery can be used to recover from corrupted optical media. MiniTool Partition Recovery has a streamlined 3-step recovery process and DM Disk Editor and Data Recovery offers users a suite...
Top 5 Best Free Data Recovery Software in 2021
Apparently a few weeks ago I deleted a bunch of #files, hours of work, for the next audio book that I thought had been copied to a different folder, but they were nowhere to be found! I found this #Recuva #software that seems to have recovered all the deleted files. Whew!
Top 5 Free Recuva Alternatives on Windows
Recuva by CCleaner is a highly popular data recovery tool that offers a wide range of features. Users can download Recuva free version from its website or even upgrade to a premium paid version. If you want to recover your deleted or lost data files, then you might consider doing Recuva download as well. Though, the question is how efficient is the Recuva freeware or should...

  • Need help recovering videos from a corrupt SD card
Https://dmde.com/ - More powerful (but also more difficult) recovery software if the previous isn't working for you. Allows recovery of 4000 files / 1 folder at a time for free. Free version is usually enough for recovering SD cards, where files are all located in one or a few folders. - Source: Reddit / 1 day ago
  • External HDD not working
Anyway, I'd suggest you download https://dmde.com/, select the drive from the 'Physical Devices' list, and see if it recognizes any intact partitions. Don't run a 'Full Scan' yet. If you see any partitions that look correct, select 'Open Volume', and see if your files are listed. DMDE's free demo allows recovery of up to 4000 files / 1 folder per run, with no total limits, which may be suitable for your case. - Source: Reddit / 14 days ago
  • I have 4 corrupted files that I was able to salvage with Recuva. I tried using Untrunc to fix the files but ran into issues. More details in comments. Any help/tips greatly appreciated!
Thanks for the suggestion. I went ahead over to https://dmde.com/ to download the program and followed your instructions to select tools and copy sectors. I chose to copy the sectors to my local C:\ drive. Also worth noting form another recommendation I was given, I attempted to use https://www.klennet.com/carver and got interesting results. Not all of the files were not able to be previewed which concerns me a... - Source: Reddit / 17 days ago
  • Advice on how to proceed with SD card recovery?
If you absolutely refuse to use Linux, there is data recovery software in Windows that can do raw imaging / cloning, it's just not as reliable or safe as using ddrescue. I personally like DMDE for this, the 'Tools' > 'Copy Sectors' menu will let you copy from drive to image, image to drive, etc. But this tool is designed primarily for healthy drives, with only basic ability to skip bad sectors, it's not the same... - Source: Reddit / 17 days ago
  • Accidentally deleted volume my HDD
Download https://dmde.com/, select your drive from the 'Physical Devices' list, and then post a screenshot of the resulting 'Partitions' tab. - Source: Reddit / 17 days ago
