The beartaria times app required no development/build from anyone in the bear community. They simply pay for existing tools/infrastructure. Similar to the uatv/vimeo debacle, beartaria times is simply an "app" running on the disciple media platform - disciplemedia.com. A lot of communities use [Discourse ](https://discourse.org). [LPSF](https://forum lpsf.org) migrated to it when Yahoo Groups was discontinued.
