Top 10 Best AWS Alternatives You Should Try in 2020
Digitalocean is the most popular and scalable computer service. Further, it is a trusted cloud provider for all range of users at comparatively lower prices than AWS. DigitalOcean cloud platform provides add-on storage, security, and monitoring capabilities to run production applications with great ease. Besides, it allows users to deploy custom image, one-click app, or...
The Amazon Premium
I haven't used Azure or AWS for a big project recently but I have used Google Cloud Platform and can confirm that it reflects Google's reputation for poor customer service. Conversely I have used DigitalOcean's support in a personal capacity and found it to be acceptable.

Best AWS Alternatives and Competitors for Unbeatable Cloud Prices and Quality
DigitalOcean has multiple data centers worldwide integrated with load balancers for flawless performance across the globe. Like AWS, their “Load Balancing” technology works out of the box and doesn’t need any manual configuration, it distributes incoming traffic for maximum accessibility thus ensures zero downtime.
Linode vs DigitalOcean Performance, Benchmarks, Uptime & Network Speed Comparison
Linode offers more storage for their $80 package than DigitalOcean, but DigitalOcean also lets you add additional block storage for $0.10 / GB per month. In that sense, DigitalOcean gives you more flexibility to decide how much storage you need, which depends on the size of your site.
VPS Showdown - January 2018 - DigitalOcean vs. Linode vs. Vultr
DigitalOcean may have taken the fil I/O but it’s worth nothing that Linode and Vultr both performed consistent across each server instance while DigitalOcean had one instance that performed wildly better than the other two (bringing up the average considerably).

Vercel Reviews

3 best alternatives to the big cloud providers
Very interesting topic! I’m not sure if things like Netlify or Vercel could replace something like Kubernetes on GCP but I believe in the power of Netlify for hosting websites!

  • Finding Hosting for my First Web Project
DigitalOcean - Cheap(ish), $100 free with some promocodes. - Source: Reddit / 8 days ago
  • Day 0 - Creating Your Own Server - without a credit card
We normally recommend using Amazon's AWS "Free Tier" (http://aws.amazon.com) or Digital Ocean (https://digitalocean.com) - but both require that you have a credit card. The same is true of the Microsoft Azure, Google's GCP and the vast majority of providers listed at Low End Box (https://lowendbox.com/). - Source: Reddit / 2 months ago
  • Day 0 - Creating Your Own Server - with a $5 Digital Ocean plan
These instructions will walk you through using Digital Ocean (http://digitalocean.com) as your VPS hosting provider. They are rated highly, with a very simple and slick interface - and low cost of $5 (USD) per month for the minimal server that you'll be creating. (Of course, if you have a strong reason to use another provider, then by all means do so, but be sure to choose Ubuntu Server 20.04). - Source: Reddit / 2 months ago
  • My SSD graphs are making cool patterns now
This is the monitor section on digitalocean.com. I wanted to rent a droplet to see if it could help me plot and fill my hard drives faster. I got the 2TB droplet with 64GB RAM and 8 cores (~$500/m but billed by the minute) to test out the plotting capabilities. Took around 12 hours to plot 6 plots in parallel, each plot having 2 threads. I guess it makes sense since the cores max out at around ~2.9ghz. - Source: Reddit / 2 months ago
  • Only TWO days left to join a pool that rewards you TWICE every five days...
Definitely! Tygar runs on three cloud-based Ubuntu servers, all using digitalocean.com (but separated in different locales and datacenters). They each have 8GB ram. - Source: Reddit / 3 months ago

Vercel mentions (110)

  • Building A GraphQL Server With Next.js API Routes
Next.js is a fullstack React framework built and maintained by Vercel. Next.js includes many features out of the box that we typically need to set up in React applications - things like file-system routing, server side rendering, API routes, etc - which means we can focus on building our application and not boilerplate setup and configuration. - Source: dev.to / 1 day ago
  • Free for dev - list of software (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, etc.)
Vercel — Build, deploy, and host web apps with free SSL, global CDN, and unique Preview URLs each time you git push. Perfect for Next.js and other Static Site Generators. - Source: dev.to / 2 days ago
  • Designing and Developing My Portfolio - v3
Deployed on Netlify I love Netlify for so many reasons, but the #1 reason is how simple and quick it is to get a new project deployed onto the web. There are other options, like Vercel, but for now I am loyal to Netlify. - Source: dev.to / 3 days ago
  • How to Make a LinkTree of Your Own Code
Simply upload the code to your preferred static hosting platform, such as netlify, vercel, github pages, or cloudflare pages. - Source: dev.to / 14 days ago
  • Immunization Record for Apple Wallet! No app download required.
It's hosted on the Vercel platform. The domain is my own, it's only a German domain because it's a play on Burwalde (the region in southern MB that I grew up in). It's simply a spare domain I had. Let me know if you have additional questions. - Source: Reddit / 16 days ago
