When my cursor (hidden by the game) hits the side of the screen where the dock is, the cursor reappears. Cursors hidden through Cursorcerer are just as affected, unfortunately. Source: 6 months ago

If it really bothers you (like it did for me), you can install a tiny tool called cursorcerer which hides your cursor on a keyboard shortcut (default is control+option+k). Macos actually can do it by default (option+command+k), but that only works in few specific applications (I only remember preview to support it). Source: about 2 years ago
