I live and swear by Citymapper[0] for all cities that it supports. No other app I've used has been as good for public transport as Citymapper has been. I really hope one day one of these city transport organisations either buy it out, push for it, or license their tech. [0] https://citymapper.com/. - Source: Hacker News / 6 days ago
I’ve had an easy time getting around in Sydney by public transport using Citymapper. Source: 10 months ago
We do! Citymapper often will tell you what door to get on for the best exit, depending on whether there's data available for that journey. Source: 10 months ago
Citymapper does this really well. It also tells you where to sit on the train to be nearest the most convenient exit at your stop. Source: 12 months ago
But by way of encouragement maybe, the area near my office—off Irving Blvd and Medical District Dr—is not pedestrian friendly by any stretch. Google Maps will give you worthless, even dangerous bike routes. Citymapper is a bit better, but really what I found paid off was spending some time studying maps, aerial and street-level imagery, then a weekend morning doing some testing and exploration. I see the train station is just in the airport, cool, but why is it impossible to buy tickets for most trains? I tried multiple times since my order (months ago) using bahn.de, thetrainline.com, omio.com and it's still unable to provide the simplest train tickets we want :'(. Source: 9 months ago
I found this option on a website called omio.com but not sure if it is reliable or not. Source: 10 months ago
I recommend omio.com and checking train prices in cp.pt and flixbus and https://rede-expressos.pt/en/ for bus prices. Within Lisbon you will have to see what works better depending on where the bus or train takes you. Source: about 1 year ago
I would advise checking separate official websites for more accurate information, but I think omio.com has both trains and buses in their system. Source: about 1 year ago
I was trying to book some tickets from Barcelona to Madrid for a family trip in April, but somehow at the checkout time, I always got this error, it's been a day. I don't know if this is some website problem or just me. Any idea? Btw, is there a legit and good third-party site I can buy train tickets in Spain? I heard of omio.com and is it good? Thanks a lot!
