HERE WeGo might be a bit more popular than Citymapper. We know about 30 links to it since March 2021 and only 29 links to Citymapper. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
I live and swear by Citymapper[0] for all cities that it supports. No other app I've used has been as good for public transport as Citymapper has been. I really hope one day one of these city transport organisations either buy it out, push for it, or license their tech. [0] https://citymapper.com/. - Source: Hacker News / 5 days ago
I’ve had an easy time getting around in Sydney by public transport using Citymapper. Source: 10 months ago
We do! Citymapper often will tell you what door to get on for the best exit, depending on whether there's data available for that journey. Source: 10 months ago
Citymapper does this really well. It also tells you where to sit on the train to be nearest the most convenient exit at your stop. Source: 12 months ago
But by way of encouragement maybe, the area near my office—off Irving Blvd and Medical District Dr—is not pedestrian friendly by any stretch. Agreed, but you are going to get feedback from a lot of folks who apparently really like it. The native navigation comes from a system called HERE and they have deals with a large number of vehicle OEMs. For my situation the native maps are abysmal. The POI database is sparsely populated for my area of the country and it rarely identifies the correct destination unless I enter the specific street address. Worse,... Source: about 1 year ago
I'm using European-based maps. Not ideal but better. Here we go (wego.here.com) is really great. viamichelin.fr is also quite good (but not as good). Source: about 1 year ago
