Yeah you got the concept right. Check out the manifesto on the CardvCard site if you're interested in MSCHF's philosophy behind the whole thing. I was on the waitlist but never got a Card. MSCHF would occasionally put more money in the shared account so people could go race to spend it. Sounded so fun, too bad I missed out on that drop. It's over, and most drops don't get a redo. I usually channel all the energy from the typo itch into looking at fonts and researching in local archives and books instead of buying fonts. This is mainly because I do work in Typo design. Of course, like you, sometimes I keep coming back to a certain typeface or font family that I yearn to use in graphic design or for a website.
