  • BuzzFeed News Is Shutting Down
I can only imagine their disappointment when buzzfeed.com still pops up with their quizzes and "news" about the Kardashians. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Get it Together!!
From what buzzfeed.com? Is that what the quiz told you? Source: about 1 year ago
  • BuzzFeed, after gutting its newsroom, asks reporters to produce even more — Meanwhile, the company's stock is struggling, revenue is in free fall, and editorial ambitions remain hazy
The terrible part is they completely poisoned the name "buzzfeed" because buzzfeednews.com (not buzzfeed.com) does some amazing journalism. Among other stories they are the ones who received the leaked "FinCen Files" which showed that FinCen (the US govt agency in charge of monitoring suspicious financial transactions) was basically not doing anything and money laundering was freely happening under their watch and... • Algeria, and the relationship between lead and iq
You're focusing on the wrong side effect of lead, studies have shown that exposure to lead in the air increases violence and crimes, and the effect can last up to 20 years. I'm more concerned about that than some arbitrary whimsical IQ test on buzzfeed.com. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Buzzfeed shouldn’t be suggested as a news site
If I type in "nytimes.com" right now, I get news stories and midterm analysis first. If I type in "buzzfeed.com" the main story is "I Apologize In Advance, But Non-Americans Think These 18 American Foods Are Absolutely 'Disgusting”. You have to click on the logo and find your way over to Buzzfeed news, which to me at least, would suggest their news section is of secondary importance and isn't the main component of... • Reddit is wrong, u/spez should leave and we are joining the blackout!
Most times it was a reddit clone, like voat (which was reddit, but racist) and the actual alternatives were different enough to almost be off putting (like https://hubski.com/ - no images). Source: 11 months ago
  • I have trouble getting past signing up on social media
I couldn't get past sign up two times, once on answermug.com (the admins wouldn't respond when I mentioned my account wasn't approved, and asked why) and hubski.com (I can log in, but I can't post or comment and the admins still haven't responded to my emails about my problem). Source: 11 months ago
  • Now that Reddit are killing 3rd party apps on July 1st what are great alternatives to Reddit?
I like Hubski, it's a little small and slow rn but it's nice. Source: 11 months ago
  • Is anyone else's list of joined subreddits dwindling?
Have you tried hubski? It looks like it could use some new members to revive the site a little. I keep thinking I should make the effort to switch, at least for a while, and start posting content over there. Source: about 3 years ago
