  • Does anyone have any tools for tracking down hard to find books?
My first stop is always bookfinder. Doesn't cross-reference every site but it does a good chunk of them. Source: 10 months ago
  • Ideas for a 7 day celebration for my S.O.'s birthday?
If an era (say civil war) go to http://bookfinder.com. Now on the front page click Advanced Search. You can select year of publication. So for civil war I would plug in up to 1900. Source: 11 months ago
  • Where do you find out what a book you’re repurposing is worth?
First you need to learn to grade the book, as value is related directly to condition. Then you can look the book up on bookfinder.com and see what it's worth. But... there's a caveat. • Where to start?
It seems like, you might have more luck with books than with trying to piece things together from bits and pieces on websites - I possibly don't know any books about Sumerian mythology, sorry, but searching your local library or alibris.com (because Amazon are crooks) might get you something that'll give you a general idea of what archaeologists know about Sumer and its mythology, and give you somewhere to start... • Selling physical books
I buy used books at alibris.com, but, apparently, they work with sellers (20 USD per annum). I takes an investigation to check out those. Source: 11 months ago
  • Wholesome parenting and sibling teamwork
Highly recommend checking out alibris.com as well. Source: 11 months ago
  • How did you build your FatFire Book Collection?
I collect first edition / first printings of rare science fiction from the 60s/70s/80s. I've found abebooks.com and alibris.com to both be excellent when trying to find obscure pieces. Source: 11 months ago
  • Books about Medieval Travelling
Drive-by comment to recommend http://alibris.com as a great used book, music, dvd source. Source: about 1 year ago
