Avatar Maker VS Boring Avatars

I start to love making own games. But as I have no experience I started to create withmods for other games. One of my mod is coming to an end (Game Kubifaktorium). But for my Story I need some good avatar pics to make my mod complete. So I was wondering if anybody could help me, where I could find people who have this skills. I recently bootstrapped a company and we wanted some nice looking default images for our users that didn't upload their own and we found some out there but not too many with the goal we were looking achieve — other than boringavatars.com (where this project gets its inspiration!).
