Freshdesk provides a free helpdesk system so we can manage our support tickets. They have the feature that allows us to send emails through our own email address (vs using their own email address), and an app that works well to respond and organize tickets.
My biggest gripe with the service is that they are missing a feature that HelpScout has, where we can reply directly to the notification email and that reply gets sent to the customer. With freshdesk, we have to log into their portal or use the app in order to send a reply.
Based on our record, Freshdesk should be more popular than Datto. It has been mentiond 12 times since March 2021. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
Yes, I understand what is happening. The "issue" is that the email appears to have been written more for IT Glue people -- and then someone edited the top portion a bit to be more Datto-specific without really cleaning up the rest of the email (or the sender/from itself). As I said, if you see my Edit, I actually got a new email a few hours later -- that is actually from a datto.com email address and more... Source: over 1 year ago
Indeed. And see my edit -- I actually just got an updated email with the same subject that came from datto.com and was really about Datto stuff instead of IT Glue stuff! :). Source: over 1 year ago
As I'm getting my stuff ready to present to my attorney, I get an email from [postmaster@kaseya.onmicrosoft.com](mailto:postmaster@kaseya.onmicrosoft.com) that my email bounced due to security or policy settings at datto.com. What the....? For real? C'mon man. I print that email as well as the others, and head off to see my attorney. He looks everything over, looks at me and says "Are all vendors in your industry... I took advantage of M365's message rules, and set up a rule that all emails from @ datto.com gets forwarded to their support email address. Which then creates a ticket, which then emails me, which then forwards to their support ticket, which then.... well. You get the idea. Source: over 2 years ago
In order to stay up to date at all times, it’s important to deploy a cloud-based patch management solution to automatically update software whenever and wherever necessary. Most Managed Service Providers leverage one of the big three Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) solutions (Connectwise, Datto, and Kaseya) for patching their managed systems. These RMM solutions also provide monitoring, and remote access in... Source: over 2 years ago
When I click on it and try to view my ticket it asks me to log in, but then tells me my email and password are incorrect, I can log into Moog music just fine....and NOT freshdesk.com. Source: 4 months ago
What I suggest is using freshdesk.com. It's free for some of the base needs such as automatically creating ticket when people email as support email, giving clients a portal to fill out what you want them to fill out which creates a ticket, automatically notifies people on your team (up to 10) and allows you to create departments and emails them when a ticket is assigned to that department, reply via email allows... Since Freewallet is a quite small company they outsource their "support" from this Indian startup the communication is quite complicated. If the company doesn't want to spend more money in order to hire a good support engineer, and instead prefers to save some money by going offshore. Then this companies' customers swill suffer.
