A free account is somewhat limited, and I can imagine you may need to only have uploaded whatever assets you need for the next session due to space limitations, but it's easier to use and way more pretty than anything else I've tried.   So I added the pdf for the player rulebook, monster manual, and command cheatsheet for the avrae discord bot found on dndbeyond.com as a tool to help run games through discord.   There are countless videos on YouTube around how they play at the tabletop, but I think the best place to start would actually be dndbeyond.com. You will be locked to the basics, but you can get an idea from character building there because you can create characters and see how stats impact rolls and explore class features.
