Top 10 3D Model Databases: The Best Sites to Download 3D Models for 3D Printing
Thingiverse is probably one of the biggest and most popular databases. It has a very active maker community behind it and offers free-to-use STL files only. You don’t even need to open an account in order to download a 3D model from their site. Sometimes the database can seem slightly less organized than the cleaner and simpler design of sites like Pinshape and Cults.

  • Can someone help me figure out how too add a Santa hat to this print?
You can find a santa hat model on thingiverse.com and put the two models together using tinkercad. - Source: Reddit / about 15 hours ago
  • Lucky Local Find: a slightly battle-damaged ROTS Republic Gunship (with bonus vintage 8D8) for ~36€!
Fast-forward to late November this year and an interesting lot popped up at a local second-hand site. The pictures weren't too great but I could clearly see that the canopy was missing - and based on prior experience with used Star Wars vehicles, I could only assume the same is true for missiles and similar small pieces and decals. (This'd end up being mostly true, as you can see.) The deployment platform is also... - Source: Reddit / 2 days ago

Honestly if you search "necromunda" on thingiverse.com you will find a TON of extremely awesome stuff (this is just a teeny tiny subset of it). - Source: Reddit / 5 days ago
  • Does anyone have the files for the 3d printed cat armor?
a few months ago I found files for cat armor on thingiverse.com. My sister has a cat and is into odd things like this so it was a PERFECT gift for christmas. Only after the pieces were printed, and painted did it get thrown away accidentally. I was hoping they were available somewhere or somebody might still have them. - Source: Reddit / 10 days ago
  • Some ads slip through. I check quieres and blacklist them, but I still get the ad. Any suggestions? Thanks.
I've scraped the web pages' source code. You can search for "HTTP" or something else. Those that do get through, are Amazon ads. I'm stuck on Thingiverse, some always get through. I've globally added amazon.com and thingiverse.com. To my black lists. I've not found the solution on a few of those. I notice on my Android devices, that my news tool is "SmartNews". It has every HTML page with "page not found" on... - Source: Reddit / 11 days ago
