I have used AnyList for years. My adult daughters use it also. The creators are extremely responsive.
Based on our record, ZXing seems to be a lot more popular than AnyList. While we know about 16 links to ZXing, we've tracked only 1 mention of AnyList. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
The second is that my husband and I use AnyList. It has an app and a Google Chrome extension. I can add any recipe, make any type of list (grocery, fridge inventory, etc), and make a schedule that goes into our calendar app of what I'm cooking/prepping when. Source: over 1 year ago
The biggest difference between the two plugins is the SDK used to recognise the barcodes. The Capacitor Community Barcode Scanner plugin currently uses the ZXing decoder and the Capacitor ML Kit Barcode Scanning plugin uses the ML Kit from Google. Source: 11 months ago

PyXing (website here) is supposedly a Python port of the popular Java ZXing library, but the initial and only commit is 6 years old and the project has no readme or documentation whatsoever. Source: almost 2 years ago
