Amazon Alexa VS Rhasspy

So our Alexa Echo Plus has been working great until our account was hacked. Thinking it was not paired correctly I reset the device. First with the button then with a pin on the bottom. Edit 1: spent the last 2 hours looking in to what I believe is every possible reddit post related to this issue, I have found out that many have solved it with the web interface using alexa.amazon.com which right now only prompts me to scan a qr code that will open the alexa app on my device thus useless, otherwise there is the possibility to try and connect it as a tap device, which for me does not work, I have... So, for some reason my 1st gen echo was disconnected and after googling and trying all the fix that I have read both in google and here in reddit, it wont connect to wifi. Rhasspy is amazing and more capable than Mycroft (e.g. Satellite support, something that’s mandatory imo), but even more DIY and beginner-unfriendly. That said, the docs are decent, the community is helpful. Source: over 1 year ago
