Hi - my 2 primary sites to find publications are amazon.com and abebooks.com. I've found used copies of reference books on both sites. Since I collect Australia, I also watch the Australian auction site. I've found some great books in auctions. Of course, the shipping sometimes is more than the book. #2 current student reviews: I find the website unigo.com really helpful. I got a sense of how the student population was like and the work and social culture, and anything I should be wary of. Source: over 2 years ago
I personally go to unigo.com. It's a website that has a feature where students answer questions about the typical students at their college. Here's Cornell, as an example. Source: almost 3 years ago
