23 Best Free Image Hosting Sites (Upload & Share) in 2022
That said, if you’re looking for a cloud storage option for your work, you’ll have to look elsewhere as that is not what 500px is designed for. It only stores high-quality images for licensing and doesn’t allow you to store RAW files.

Flickr Reviews

  1. Deleted my account for "advertising"

Former blogger for Second Life virtual world. ~ Had my account revoked after I was told my blogging was "advertising", even though 100's of other users do the exact same thing. Years of work down the tubes. Will never use it again. ~ Note: They are doing this to push for "PRO" memberships, because the company is hurting for money.

    🏁 Competitors: Instagram, Facebook
👍 Pros:    Free to start, until you gain too much popularity.|Good for casual use.
👎 Cons:    Spam|Abundance of advertising|Photostream hijacking by ads|Horrible customer service.

  • Ask HN: What's the best static site generator for photography portfolios?
Here is a suggestion. Try a theme from the likes of https://jekyllthemes.io which has mostly Github Pages friendly themes. Buy it once, set it up on Github Pages. You won't have to pay the monthly hosting free. Or, your photography is growing and looking for just a photos-focused hosting with a little bit of a payment (perhaps cheaper than SquareSpace), then try https://500px.com or https://www.smugmug.com (the... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 month ago

  • Website not visible correctly when mullvadvpn is active
I can't figure it out why some websites (and app) are not correctly displaying things when mullvadvpn is active. The one website (and only, so far) that is giving me problems is https://500px.com/ which doesn't load pictures. Same thing with the app on Android. I'm using default settings and I've tried a bunch of servers, no fix so far. Source: 10 months ago

An NFT as well as it's owner are stored on the blockchain (BTC Blockchain, Etherium Blockchain, etc.) As an artist myself - if I wanted to - I could sell digital work via this technology. It's surle an intersting alternative to traditional plattforms like www.saatchiart.com, 500px.com, or etsy.com. The Blockchain is nothing more than a decentralized*, digital, currency trading plattform. It's transparent: Any... Source: over 1 year ago

  • Instagram alternatives for promoting business, now that EU laws messed it up?
Is flickr.com still alive? It used to be so cool back in the day, but I dropped off from photography in general over like the past decade, so have no clue how things are going over there. Source: 5 months ago
  • 20mm or 35mm prime lens
20mm will look wider on your Z6II than your D40x but it should look the same as it does on any other FX body like the D780 or the D850. Go on flickr.com and search for photos taken with 20mm lenses. You can type 20mm in the search bar. Make sure you look at photos taken with full a full frame camera. If those match the look you are going for, go ahead and grab the 20mm. Source: 10 months ago

  • Question to Experienced ancestry user:
When you scan your images, you can reduce the quality. You might consider getting a subscription to an on-line photo system, like flickr.com, where you can upload original images of high quality. You could have lower-quality ones on ancestry, or just use an outside link to the photo record you have. Source: 12 months ago
