The Best 2FA Apps 2021: Locking Down Your Online Accounts
Although it’s becoming less common, security questions still show up as a strange form of 2FA. We always recommend lying on these questions, then jotting down your response in a password manager like 1Password (read our 1Password review). Between social media and other online services, it’s usually not hard for an attacker to figure out the answers to your security...

1Password started as an Apple-only application, but since then has made its way to broader audience. The app now supports Windows, iOS, and Android. You can get extensions for most browsers. The service handles all of the basic functions you need from a password manager. Compared to some of the rival applications, 1Password gives you great features, at a fairly competitive...

1Password alternatives: the best password managers
1Password is a highly popular password manager, and has enjoyed this success because managing many passwords can be a hassle. Software like 1Password stores your passwords, licenses, and other private data using a master password – but it doesn’t come for free, costing around $3-5 per month, depending on which plan is required. 1Password works with its own app and browser...
Best Password Managers 2018
However, 1Password's browser extensions for Brave, Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, dubbed 1Password X, are great. They improve upon the desktop experience and work directly with web browsers instead of operating systems. They also extend 1Password to Chromebook and Linux users, although a beta version of a 1Password Linux application recently became available.

bitwarden Reviews

  1. A great password management tool

I moved from 1Password to Bitwarden about half a year ago. I never looked back, and I've never missed anything. The UI might be a touch clunkier than 1Password, but it's still good and perfectly usable on the whole. What is more, it is open-source and people can inspect its code.

The only downside is that BitWarden doesn’t feature a full offline mode, but as LifeHacker reader binaryvisions points out: “an entire sync of your vault occurs when you log in,” so you can technically use BitWarden even if you’re offline as long as you’ve synced your most recent password data.

  • I cant seem to get it working... new here..
When 1Password requests 2FA via your YubiKey when logging in to in a browser running on Windows 10, a grey pop-up will appear asking you to plug-in your YubiKey. Once plugged in you will get a second grey pop-up asking you to touch your YubiKey. - Source: Reddit / 3 days ago
  • Help with computer scam
Many online services exist such as LastPass, bitwarden, Dashlane, and 1password. They all work similarly - passwords are stored in an online vault that's decrypted with a master password that the service doesn't have access to. Browser extensions and mobile apps make it easy to auto-fill and keep up to date passwords. They support multi-factor authentication and sharing. - Source: Reddit / 4 days ago

Start using a password manager if you're not already. I recommend 1Password for Mac and iOS. - Source: Reddit / 11 days ago
  • Every time I have to re-enter my password I feel insulted that with all the piles of cash I throw to Bethesda they still don't know who I am.
So many websites have that issue and it's soooo annoying. I can't recommend 1password enough. It automatically creates / remembers / enters complicated unique passwords. It is cross-platform including mobile. It also saves other things that are annoying to remember like ID numbers, health insurance, etc. It notifies you if a website gets hacked so you can quickly change a bunch of passwords at once. • I swear the less well-paid a job is the harder it is to apply for - Tesco are asking me for my passport before inviting me to interview
This is a great idea. Also use a password manager - I recommend - this way you can save the email address, and create a random password and just in case you do need to log back in the details are at hand, plus all the security benefits that come from having machine generated passwords, unique passwords per website etc. - Source: Reddit / 4 days ago

I advise my family to use the incredible password manager Bitwarden. With the free version, you can store the TOTP secrets (the QR codes simply contain a string of characters) directly in the entries. With the PRO version ($10/year), Bitwarden can use the TOTP secrets and generate the codes itself, without needing an app on your phone. - Source: Reddit / 4 days ago
