  • Ground crickets in these "health-food" cheezie puffs

  • Weekend Discussion Thread for the Weekend of August 12, 2022
Year ,2030. Wake up, tell siri to turn on my 70 inch Apple TV. Get an error msg. Guess my monthly TV bill didn't process. Can't listen to the NWONN this morning. Wanted to find out if Xi released his new 5 year plan for the world economy. Exit my 150 sqf pod and proceed to the communal mess hall to get my https://eatchirps.com/ omellete. Open uber app and get a self driving scooter sent to the high rise pod... Source: over 1 year ago
  • terrible because it's misleading. this brand openly advertises itself as using cricket protein
Crickets as a source of protein is a thing, but most products advertise it better. Chirps products literally say "Eat Bugs" on the front, and I think that it's good to be completely open about it and try to flip the stigma. I'm not a shill, but I've had some of these products. They aren't bad at all, and taste better than most of those protein bars you get at the store. Source: over 1 year ago
  • So it begins... They've started adding insects to your food. Be sure to check labels.
Wait til they find out about Chirps Chips. Source: almost 2 years ago

Those are main ingredients of chirps. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Hornworms grew unexpectedly fast, can I give this to my adult beardie?? Worried about it being a choking hazard!
Solid plan, lol. Chirps are pretty tasty, so, dehydrated ground crickets would probably be pretty easy to add to recipes. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Found in my raspberries. Almost positive I ate a few and am not happy about it. Light green, half a centimeter long.
Now that you know we all eat insects, let me introduce you to Chirps! Source: about 2 years ago
  • Best places for spices?
I found the brand I had tried - Chirps. It’s actually cricket, but same difference, right? Source: over 2 years ago
  • In a video about killing pigs mercifully at a Family Farm
The correct answer is bugs. More protein pound-for-pound than beef. Requires a fraction of the feed, and so is much more sustainable. Insects like crickets can be ground into a flour and used for all kinds of things. Chirps is on the right track. Source: over 2 years ago
  • It all makes sense now
Entomophagy (eating of bugs) is getting more common/available in the US too... Not a plug for them in particular but I'll get some Chirps Chips stuff from time to time, https://eatchirps.com/ their protein bars are as good as any other protein bar I've had. But the cookies are legit tasty and indistinguishable. Source: over 2 years ago
