  • Looking at a 2021 Silverado - It's been for sale at 3 dealerships - Why do they do this?
According to cars.com and cargurus, the price has gone up by $3k between dealer B and C. - Source: Reddit / about 1 hour ago
  • Totally screwed up a year and a half ago...trying to make the right decisions now
Yeah, instant gratification is a pain in the ass. Also I forgot to mention, that Corolla is 15K. cars.com only lets me do 5,10,15k so it came up like this. Crazy to think I couldn't 1:1 a BMW for a fucking 8 year old Corolla. - Source: Reddit / about 12 hours ago
  • โ€˜01 IS300
I would have said this was overpriced by like 2x but looking at cars.com it's right in the range for such a vehicle so I guess go for it. - Source: Reddit / about 17 hours ago
  • Name a better combo than a Jeep and the beach
According to cars.com the Wrangler sucks for the beach, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65BLimOdb9Q. - Source: Reddit / 1 day ago
  • Dealership advertised price:$4999, Out the door price $9800.
I like giving them bad reviews then watching them try to defend it. I did this to a dealership that was listing all of their cars for $2,500 on cars.com, so when you'd sort by lowest price, their cars would come up first. These were cars obviously worth far more than $2,500. I left a 1 star review and said if I was wrong and they'd honor the price, I'd pay them $1,000 OVER their asking price and change my... - Source: Reddit / 6 days ago
  • Best place to sell/trade in 2014 Lexus LS460?
I'd just do private sale. Cast your net and see what happens. I think that you might be able to get a bit more than Carmax. Not significantly, because at some point someone will likely just want a newer car, but I think you can find that Lexus fanatic that wants to pay $30,000 for a well maintained luxury car instead of a new Civic. Maybe even up to like $33,000 or $35,000 to the right buyer. Put up an ad on... - Source: Reddit / 6 days ago
  • Discussion about .com domains
Feel free to ask questions about domains in general but the focus here will primarily be about .com domain names. For newbies, those are domain extensions (like cars.com) that end with .com. - Source: Reddit / 8 days ago
  • Sheesh
There are 77,417 used cars on cars.com right now that are 2022's with less than 10,000 miles. For some reason there are twice as many Accents, Crosstreks, and Outbacks in that list than WRX's. - Source: Reddit / 10 days ago
  • Considering a WRX
But what's a reasonable price? That's the question. Prices online are all over the place! Doesn't matter if it's the various asking prices on places like cars.com, edmunds, gargurus or whatever. - Source: Reddit / 12 days ago
  • Love how the market has shifted opinions on the Rx-8..
Do you have data on mileage or are you making it up? I went through all RX-8s for sale on cars.com right now and they average 93k miles. I did a search for all '04-'11 Civics and in the first two pages of cars they average 106k miles. RX-8s definitely did not get driven any more than the average sedan. And here's where I make stuff up but I'd put money on more than half of those RX-8s being on their second+ engine... - Source: Reddit / 13 days ago
  • 2015 mazda3 s touring 66k miles no warranty thoughts?
...and use KBB.com or cargurus.com or cars.com or edmunds.com etc to research the make and model/year you like to see what they are going t for. - Source: Reddit / 13 days ago
  • Would it be dumb...
IS is smaller than Camry, if you care about putting adults or forward facing baby seats in the back, you may not like it. There's no Carplay / Android Auto support on the IS. At 138k miles, there's either just been a bunch of maintenance done or there's a bunch you need to do, you'll want to find out which it is. I'll point out that $10.9k is lower than the cheapest 2015 IS250 on cars.com as well. As always,... - Source: Reddit / 13 days ago
  • Selling my 2012 528xi and asking $12,700 in Washington. Has 77K miles and is in great condition. Not getting any hits. Any idea why?
I just sold an Infiniti Q50 and I had it listed on Facebook, Autotrader, Ebay, cars.com, Infiniti Forum, and Craigslist. It sold on Facebook Marketplace. I just bought a 2013 535xi and I bought it from Facebook Marketplace. So I do agree that private sales are working best on MarketPlace. - Source: Reddit / 13 days ago
  • I'm Selling My Hellcat
Hello everyone, I'm looking to sell my Charger Hellcat. I'm in the South Florida area, and if anyone is looking to purchase, or knows of any vetted buyers, please reach out. It's black with chrome wheels, 2016 with 26500 miles, you can find it on craigslist or cars.com. Thanks! - Source: Reddit / 15 days ago
  • Applied for a Car loan, got approved with a 10% rate
If I had cash, I would have, wouldnt I? The market simply just does not reflect this, carfax, and cars.com are great but seeing as I'm dependent on whats available in my area. Currently cars.com lists cars 10k and under within 50 miles of boston I am looking at cars over 10 years old, with insane milage. - Source: Reddit / 17 days ago
  • How do I *buy* an EUV?
Setup a cars.com alert. This let me know of cars that were coming in ahead of evfinder or others, though I ended up just aggregating across the two and calling dealers anytime something that hit our specs showed up. Be prepared to pay markup. In my area that was $2-3k in just markup then another $1-1.5 in accessories "that we add to every vehicle sold". - Source: Reddit / 17 days ago
  • Pulling the Trigger After Years of Searching
That's a tough one. The 2 owners would kind of turn me off as I'd start to wonder if there was something going on with the car that GM couldn't fix. I see 2023s are selling for about $48k for automatics and about $51K for manuals. Have you gone to websites like cars.com to see if dealerships have a 2SS in stock from other parts of the country? I bought a vehicle from Iowa of all places and drove my trade-in... - Source: Reddit / 23 days ago
  • Before all this craziness, how much below MSRP could one negotiate?
I am in the market for a car and it seems like things might be starting to come back to normal here locally. At least looking at new Mazda CX-5s a few dealers have had a few sitting and have started to drop prices (at least, according to cars.com price history). Not sure if maybe I am in for surprise markups at the dealership. A few CX-5s are listed slightly below MSRP (~$800). I could probably make it until... - Source: Reddit / 23 days ago
  • Questions About Registrars, Domain Transfers, Domain Ownership Claims, and Nameservers.
How do we know which registrar a domain belongs to? What keeps GoDaddy from saying "No, those are actually mine, thank you!" when it comes to very premium domains, like "cars.com" or some other domain that could be of great value. I am guessing there is some neutral central repository or regulatory body? - Source: Reddit / 24 days ago
  • Buying a car this month: wait until the end of March?
I recommend going to cars.com and looking to see what dealerships have it in the trim and color you want, then contacting the dealers directly to see if they have something coming in. I would imagine any cars you are going to find available to reserve now will likely not be arriving from the manufacturing plant until May. - Source: Reddit / 24 days ago
  • $5000 mark up.
If you need something to drive right now you'll soon figure out that it isn't really a bad price. The cheapest used XL on cars.com is $30k. - Source: Reddit / 25 days ago
