  • on discouragement
So, I started studying from the basics with brilliant.org about 4-5 months ago, starting right from the basics. I do it for 40-45 minutes every day, no exceptions, making it a priority just like reading books. From what I've observed so far, I enjoy it. Sometimes I do well, encountering old topics I've learned before. I dare say one of my hobbies is math study (i'm not sure how far I can go, but I ask myself how... Source: 5 months ago
  • combining like bases with exponents when there's a fraction involved
Can someone write this out in a super-explicit form to show me the rule for how to combine like bases - this is another brilliant.org question:. Source: 6 months ago
  • Looking for a website to learn fundamentals
I'm a chemical lab assistant and have worked in biochemistry/protein research for four years. I do good work, but I want to understand more background. Often, I don't get the theory behind my experiments. So, I want to build my fundamental knowledge and more. I liked brilliant.org. But there is no biochemistry. Do you know a similar website that would help me? I will also welcome more help. :). Source: 7 months ago
  • Online stuff for leaving cert maths
There's online stuff like ExamLearn but I've seen ads for websites for brilliant.org where they test you on stuff after explaining it. Is there a leaving cert equivalent for that? Source: 8 months ago
  • Are there any flashcard/memorization app with minigames?
Hey, anki and quizlet are good but I would check out brilliant.org. They have some fun games. Another one is penseum. It doesn't just have flashcards, it makes questions and also has a chat to answer all ur questions instantly. Source: 8 months ago
  • Looking to start a new career.
I've been told by another person, to try HackTheBox and also brilliant.org and obtain the certificates. Source: 9 months ago
  • We all have a left brain, so can anybody do mid to higher-level math?
I have no experience with brilliant.org. If you have the money, then sure go for it. Otherwise, there are so many high quality resources that are free online. Ultimately I feel it's best to get in the habit of working from textbooks. Developing a dependency for online resources can be a hindrance at some point in ones study of mathematics (note that this is an opinion, but I think there is truth within it). Source: 10 months ago
  • How to learn maths?
Try solving problems at brilliant.org? To be good at math you need to be good at problem solving is not just about solving exercises or doing arithmetic. A good intro to this is "The Art and Craft of Problem Solving" by Zein. Source: 10 months ago
  • Path from management consulting to quantitative trading/research?
Stage 1 - Foundations - 1y - Build up the basis while in your current role - brilliant.org has a lot of really great calc, linear algebra, probability and stats courses and is pretty cheap for the quality, something like $70 a year or $400 lifetime. Maybe the tuition reimbursement can cover this - Start with revising math you think you already know. If you jump straight to new things on a shakey foundation you... Source: 10 months ago
  • Legitimately discovering one's intellectual capabilities
I recently discovered brilliant.org from an English finance influencer lady and I'm thinking of signing up for a subscription just to brush up on my math and logic and see where it leads. Source: 10 months ago
  • Love math, bad at statistics
If you think some of the problem could be that you don't understand the material well enough, maybe try a primer course on a site like Khan Academy or Brilliant. You might even find that a more quirky approach to the topic like The Manga Guide to Statistics helps things click for you. Source: 10 months ago
  • App Academy Part Time
Data Structures and Algorithms: Use Edabit, brilliant.org, leetcode, nucamp etc. There are plenty of sites that will take you hard earned money to prep you. I would find all the free resources to learn them and practice them. Source: 10 months ago
  • Plz halp petah
You should check out brilliant.org. It has courses in critical thinking. It may help lessen your ineptitude. Source: 10 months ago
  • best math courses for 3d graphics programming
I just got a brilliant.org subscription and I am wondering what are the best courses on there to follow for 3d graphics programming. Are there any specific courses to take or should I just work my way through all the math ones? Source: 10 months ago
  • What is a good website for math problems?
Is https://brilliant.org/ still a thing? Source: 10 months ago
  • Relearning math
You might look at brilliant.org. They focus on that range of math in particular, it seems, and they give you a 7-day free trial to try it out. Just make sure to drop it before the trial ends if it isn't for you, or they'll charge you for a year's subscription. Source: 11 months ago
  • Day 11 of replacing every tile. Second top comment decides what to replace b3 with. b2 was replaced with top comment of day 11?
In addition to these Holy hell) designs, u/VictorGD467 (sorry for the ping) later created a more powerful meme, the actual zombie,[N 1] which was produced in relatively small numbers. r/anarchychess responded with another prototype of the long-barreled reply-chain, which was further developed into the "???" and Call the exorcist replies comment used for the !!! • Advice for parent of math-savvy kid
I would get him a laptop and a brilliant.org subscription - the content is not rigorous, but I think it covers most of the holes one might have in their math education up to a beginning college level (however, he might want to get to working on textbooks on his own later). There is also some programming content there. You could also direct him to the 3blue1brown introduction to linear algebra playlist on youtube.... Source: 12 months ago
  • Struggling at problem solving
I was wondering if there's an alternative to learning from books, a method where I could visualize stuff. I was thinking about brilliant.org but they seem to have way less content. I am tired of picking up new books and hoping that my situation might improve. Source: 12 months ago
  • Where to find math puzzles?
I tried brilliant.org but I found them to be a little too easy. I also bought a book called Mathematical Puzzles but they were too difficult :D. Do you have some resources you can recommend? Source: 12 months ago
