There is also https://blogtrottr.com/ which has a free plan with ads. It seems to update hourly on the free plan. (I used this service for years before creating my own, I can highly recommend it). Source: 11 months ago
There are other services available as well. The keyword you are looking for is rss-to-email. I used to use https://blogtrottr.com/ for years before making my own and they have an ad-supported free tier if you prefer that. Source: about 1 year ago
I use RSS-to-Email then read them in my mail clients. Most things get routed to a few folders without notifications that I open when I want news. I'm using my own RSS-to-Email service https://feedmail.org but I've also used https://blogtrottr.com/ in the past. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
And you can get realtime RSS→email at https://blogtrottr.com/ for free (ads in emails). Or use some other RSS app. Source: over 1 year ago
I use my own RSS-to-Email service https://feedmail.org/. I've written about my setup and why I prefer RSS-to-Email on my blog nearly a decade ago https://kevincox.ca/2013/06/27/email-as-rss-reader/. I used to use https://blogtrottr.com which I do still think is a good product, they just didn't quite fit my needs so after about 8 years I ended up creating my own. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
I now use my own RSS-to-email service FeedMail (paid, free trial) but used Blogtrottr (free with ads or paid), for 8 years before making my own. Source: over 1 year ago
I subscribe to the RSS feed with this https://blogtrottr.com. Source: over 1 year ago
My preferred way to read RSS is via an RSS-to-email service then using some folders of my email client as a feed reader. These days I run my own RSS-to-email service however it is paid. If you want free https://blogtrottr.com has a pretty good ad-supported option. I have used it extensively in the past. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
One option is to use an email-to-rss service. Then you are in control of how long you keep items. Many email providers will give you effectively unlimited storage and folders. https://blogtrottr.com/ will give you ad-paid email-to-rss. Source: almost 2 years ago
I have also used Blogtrottr for nearly a decade and can recommend them as well. They also have an ad-supported free tier if that is what you are looking for. Source: almost 2 years ago
There are a few. These days I run my own, https://feedmail.org. But for many years I used https://blogtrottr.com/ which also has an ad-supported free tier if you are looking for that. Source: almost 2 years ago
If you don't want to pay there is another RSS-to-Email service that I used to use that has an ad-supported free tier called Blogtrottr. It is fairly good, I used it for years before wanting something a bit different and making my own. Source: about 2 years ago
There are a few options available. I am the owner of FeedMail but I also used Blogtrottr for a long time and it is also pretty good. Source: about 2 years ago
Googling rss to email. One of the first links was https://blogtrottr.com/. Source: over 2 years ago
You have to add your own RSS feeds but try https://blogtrottr.com/. Source: over 2 years ago
Blogtrottr (https://blogtrottr.com/) still works for receiving emails when RSS feeds are updated, and many sites surprisingly still have them. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
Since I couldn't find any native mailing list from sony I subscribed to PSN blog using blogtrottr.com. Just input the blog url, your email address and you are done. Its ugly but its free. Once a day blogtrottr will search for updates in that url and send you new articles if there's any. Source: over 2 years ago
My only other related suggestion that I personally use for other use cases is a RSS to Email service https://blogtrottr.com/ but that requires adding each podcast rss individually. Can then get direct emails when each one gets a new feed entry, but not a combined rss output. Source: over 2 years ago
You can use https://blogtrottr.com/ to get a daily email digest from the RSS feeds that have been posted in this thread. Source: over 2 years ago
I wouldn't use Newpipe or RedReader if it wasn't for the ability to use RSS feeds independently and have them fed into my email client, FairEmail by my RSS to Email provider, Blogtrottr because as standalone clients for browsing they are both rather horrid, but passing that off to my email client and using them purely for interactions they become flawless, (for me anyway). If you decide to create a tag you should subscribe to that tag (via RSS), so you can answer the questions people may have. At first, you may be the only one that knows the answer. If you're like me and don't look up RSS that often or don't use RSS at all, you can use a Service that will send you an email when a new RSS entry appears. - Source: dev.to / over 3 years ago
