As a writer, I've been using Basecamp for a few years now and I must say, it has been a game-changer for me. Basecamp is a cloud-based project management tool that offers a suite of features to help teams collaborate efficiently and effectively.

I started using Basecamp as a project management tool to manage my writing projects. Initially, I found it a bit overwhelming, but with time I got used to the interface and the features. Basecamp has a clean and intuitive design that makes it easy to use. The dashboard is well-organized and shows all the active projects and tasks at a glance. Basecamp has a variety of features that make it easy to manage tasks, track progress, communicate with team members, and share files.

    🏁 Competitors: Trello
👍 Pros:    Easy to use|Cost-efficient|Highly customizable
    👎 Cons:    Limited integrations|No time tracking|Limited report

  • How I Achieved 10x Productivity at Remote Work
Remote work is an established term these days, but back in the days i.e. Prior to COVID or a few more years back, this term was quite alien in the developer community. Even though there were organizations like Basecamp which were working remotely for more than 20 years, the developer ecosystem was not built around the concept of working remotely or to put it in simple words, separately from your colleagues. It's interesting, I've sampled basecamp.com and the number was 35 too, very similar variables, taking into consideration Basecamp is Older than Hey and heavily flex-box oriented. Source: 10 months ago

David Heinemeier Hansson, also known as DHH, may not be a familiar name to you, but it's highly likely that you have come across either the product or the framework he created: Basecamp and Ruby on Rails. - Source: dev.to / 11 months ago

  • Responsibility On Rails
This is not just for some idealistic open source strategy. They've decided to stick with this convention so that a junior developer creating his first Ruby on Rails project has the same tools for success as what they use on their products (Basecamp & Hey). My friends, that takes a lot of courage! - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago

  • New In Basecamp 4: The Card Table (a brand-new Kanban tool)!
This is, by my estimation, the biggest addition to Basecamp since I became a customer in 2018. The public announcement of the Card Table tool coincides with a brand-new marketing website for Basecamp which finally refers to this version of the product as Basecamp 4. Source: over 1 year ago
  • What’s the best way to schedule your days?
Basecamp Https://basecamp.com/ - I used v2 and v3, not a bad system but it seems they are trying to become a jack of all trades versus a master of one. They started adding so many features into the system that is has become a bit overwhelming. Still does the job if you can navigate through all of the options/features. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Top 5 Tools for Distributed Teams to Collaborate Remotely in 2022
Basecamp is a project management system favored by managers, agencies, and freelancers. It is known for its clean design that allows easy, elegant usability. The tool provides numerous features to share ideas, systematize conversation, manage projects and interact with clients. Most importantly, its features help keep all team members informed and aligned on any project's status and updates. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
  • Alternatives to a weekly stakeholder meeting?
Asynchronous work (which by definition is Remote work)... Requires you use a system for status updates. There are many good ones.. I particularly like basecamp. My approach is .. Set a metric for whether you meet. During QA ... it's if your sticky defect count is greater than 3.. We meet for example. Drive them to use the tool to update statuses and collaborate. • Introducing Rails mini series
For the past 3 years I have been developing web applications with Ruby on Rails. It is arguably one of the most robust programming frameworks out there being used to develop the likes of Github, Shopify, Basecamp, Airbnb, Twitch, just to name a few. - Source: dev.to / almost 2 years ago
  • How do you exchange information and project details with your clients? Client Portals?
I personally use Basecamp! My main pro for basecamp is that everything can be viewed via email on the client end - so it is less onboarding and things for them to learn. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Ruby on Rails Framework Overview 2022
Take a look at the Kickstarter, Groupon or Basecamp, all of these projects are developed by Rails and don’t face any issues with scaling. Whatever the case, the performance issues of any project aren’t caused by a wrong selection of programming language or platform. These issues often result from the choice of erroneous project architecture, data caching or database optimization. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Rework, what I learned
This book is written by the founders of Basecamp and Hey, Jason Fried and David Heinemeier Hansson (aka DHH). DHH is also the creator of the Ruby on Rails. - Source: dev.to / almost 2 years ago

Basecamp vs Pneumatic — From Startup Efficiency to Advanced Workflow Optimization
It’s a bold claim and by most accounts Basecamp executes on it with sufficient success. It won’t be a big deal if you’re just starting out and have little or nothing to migrate,...

The Top 9 Wrike Alternatives For Project Management in 2019 (Free & Paid!)
However, both Basecamp and Wrike are really lacking as solid project management alternatives in one key area: design and usability. Basecamp is super simple to use–no doubt about it–but they’ve opted to keep a no-frills interface that doesn’t allow for much creativity or collaboration. Wrike’s design is similarly outdated, with far too many items crowding out a screen.

The Top 9 Alternatives To Monday.com
One area where Basecamp is often seem to fall behind other tools is on the design front with the overall look and feel coming across as more dated. In fact, Basecamp is just $99 per month regardless of your team size.
