This got me thinking about a project I tried to collaborate on with a few friends a while back. A project (which never got off the ground) where we wanted to take the best features from coolors.co and happyhues.co and create away to visualize custom color palettes on various UI elements and templates.

Coolors.co

I knew I wanted something that would be somewhat immersive, full screen with minimal UI elements. While I may have spent a lot of time trying other tools coolors.co was definitely a huge inspiration from the start, as is probably glaringly obvious on first glance. I wanted to keep the things that worked so well for coolors and build some features that I always felt were missing on top of it. One of the biggest was to allow for some fine-grain manipulation of color like you would find in any photo editing or design tool.
