Ghost

Or use something like Ghost https://ghost.org/ that lets; you build a website and an email list. In some ways it's easier than WordPress because a lot of what you need is included by default, but in other ways customizations can be a pain and it also costs more. It builds nice sites, though and the newsletter feature is part of it.
