The only downsides to njal.la are they own the domain on your behalf and they are more expensive. If they disappeared tomorrow you would have no claim to the domain (however it is pretty unlikely). If you are planning on using the domain with companies that know your real identity anyways the privacy benefits start to diminish quickly and the added expense and risk might not be worth it compared to using a registrar that offers free whois protection like cloudflare, porkbun, or namecheap. I am not saying njal.la isn't a great service (it totally is if you need a domain not tied to your identity) but the discipline it takes to maintain anonymity for a domain is much more difficult.
